Acadia Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time or part-time veterinarian to join our companion animal practice.
Our inviting facility is well equipped to handle the vast majority of small animal patient cases we receive. Since we are several hours from specialty hospitals we also handle many interesting and challenging cases that might not be seen by most primary care vets in larger communities.
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced veterinarians and new graduates alike. No on-call or emergency hours along with our collaborative team with a wide range of experience and areas of interest helps provide a healthy work/life balance. Flexible schedule of three or four work days per week.
Bar Harbor is the largest town located on Mt. Desert Island (about 8000 year round residents). Acadia National Park offers the opportunity for climbing, biking, reading, off-roading, mountain biking, and having fun around a campfire! There are a few climbing schools in the area, whale watching cruises and more to explore. Bar Harbor is also an extremely dog friendly area and one of the most friendly of the national parks.
We are a family of practices with a long history and reputation that separates us from others! We support our veterinarians with superior salary benefits including health and dental, 401(k), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability, coverage, outstanding practice teams, and a family friendly atmosphere.
I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
Join a group of motivated veterinary professionals while taking advantage of employee programs, resources, and fantastic benefits.
